Florence lives with her grandparents Jane and Onchabo Mogusu. Her mother died in June 2010. The hospital report indicated that she died from Severe Post due to Abortal Sepsis. Florence has no siblings and his father is not known. She is in Preschool at Nairobi Language School. Jane sells green vegetables while Onchabo is a casual laborer at construction sites. Jane and Onchabo live with their three biological children aged 12, 10 and 8. The two attend Lavington Seventh Day Adventist Church where Jane is a member of the women ministry.

Vanessa lives with her ailing mother Lilian Jemaiyo. Her father separated with the family after realizing his health status. Vanessa has a younger brother Emmanuel who is 3 years old. Emmanuel will also be joining the Sponsorship program. Vanessa attends school at Free Methodist Academy. Lilian is a Christian and attends Children of the Promise Church together with her children. She works as a guard in a security farm to earn a living.

Griffin lives with his ailing mother Betty Anjellah. His father separated with Betty and went back to his first wife in Western part of Kenya since they were not legally married. Betty was locked out due to rent arrears and she became very ill after the abandonment. They were later accommodated by a friend and afterwards her sister helped her rent another house. Griffin is the last born in a family of three; Vanessa Oside and Branson Gaitano aged 11yrs and 7yrs respectively. Branson will also be joining CCP’s Sponsorship program. Griffin is in Pre-school at Kings Favor Academy. Betty Anjellah is a Christian and attends Repentance and Holiness Church, Kawangware. She does casual jobs to earn a living.
