Mecna is an abandoned child. His mother died of an illness in 2007 while his father was never known. He has a brother called Emmanuel Okoya who will also be joining the Sponsorship program.They live with their uncle Amos Opondo who is a storekeeper and Aunt Catherine Otieno who is a casual laborer. Mecna has been in CCP program for the last 16 years & 3 months. He is in 3rd year pursuing Applied Communication at Multimedia University of Kenya.

Edger lives with his ailing mother. His father died in July 2008 after suffering from Cardio Pulmonary Arrest due to Meningitis. Edger is the last born, and has two sisters and a brother. He is in Pre-School at Jamoka Primary School. His mother, Rodah Engefu, is unemployed. She is a Christian and attends Gospel Mission Center Church, Kawangware.

Celestine lives with his ailing mother Dorothy Anyango. Her father died in May 2008 after suffering from Pneumonia. Celestine is in Preschool at Bread for Children School. She has an elder sister called Molvin. Her younger brother, Bradon, will also be joining the Sponsorship Program.Dorothy operates a grocery business to earn a living. She is a Christian and attends Before the Throne Church in Ngong’. She is an active member of Women Ministry in her Church.
